Réunion autour de l’importation de riz avariés au Cameroun

Expertises non satisfaisantes pour le ministre de l’agriculture et du développement rural (MINADER), autour de l’enquête portant sur 7000 tonnes de riz avariés bloqués au port autonome de Douala.

La micro toxine contenue dans du riz sein, contient une aflatoxine B1 et celui du riz avarié étudié n’a aucune aflatoxine. Tels sont les éléments de discordes entre le ministère de l’agriculture et du développement rural, et les avocats de l’entreprise importatrice Soeximex.

Selon le ministre de l’agriculture et du développement rural Essimi Menye, au départ il avait été question d’avoir l’expertise de trois laboratoires mais cela n’a été fait que part un seul laboratoire. Le laboratoire en question n’a pas pu donner ses conclusions. Ces résultats ont été confiés aux experts judiciaires qui ont donné des conclusions qui ne cadrent pas avec les résultats fournis.

Face à cette situation, le ministre au terme de la réunion, a renvoyé les partis présents à saisir au moins deux autres laboratoires pour plus d’informations et à demander au laboratoire qui a présenté ses résultats de fournir ses propres conclusions.

Les 7000 tonnes de riz de marque « Soleil » arrivée au port autonome de Douala en provenance de Singapour le 09 février 2013, ont été bloquées au port par les services phytosanitaires. La cargaison déclarée dans un premier temps toxique et nuisible à la consommation, subira finalement des analyses physico-chimiques pour étudier la qualité du produit.

La dénonciation a été faite par l’Organisation Non Gouvernementale Camerounaise de Protection des droits humains et des citoyens. Cette ONG saisi par une organisation partenaire basée dans le pays d’exportation, a déposé une plainte auprès des autorités judiciaires de la ville de Douala.
